Personal Approach

My orientation is rooted in Psychodynamic Counselling. This term refers perhaps to most of the models of the mind that are primarily concerned with unconscious processes. Its lineage can be traced back to Freud and psychoanalysis.We believe
in an 'inner world' made up of feelings, memories ,beliefs and fantasies, all of which can have a powerful influence on how we think, feel and behave.

Areas of Specialism
I work with Survivors of Sexual Abuse.
I support and enable those suffering with Eating Disorders.
I work with those with Anger Management issues.
I support and enable those experiencing Domestic Abuse.

I offer one-to-one help to those recovering from Drug and/or Alcohol abuse and have a number of years experience working with individuals and the addictions affecting them.
I have also facilitated groups applying 12-step and Anger Management approaches.
I work with those who have experienced trauma.

I offer Short term Solution Focused/Brief Therapy.
I use Narrative therapy , Solution Focused thrapy and Psychodynamic techniques when working with Couples.
